blueberry kale smoothie

So I have read and heard a few times that Kale is very good for you but not sure why...so I looked into it a little.
It is crazy rich in many vitamins and minerals. Also has antioxidants and fiber!
Now I have also read that Kale and Blueberries are superfoods. What is a superfood you ask?

Superfoods are a special category of foods found in nature. By definition they are calorie sparse and nutrient dense meaning they pack a lot of punch for their weight as far as goodness goes. They are superior sources of anti-oxidants and essential nutrients - nutrients we need but cannot make ourselves.

And after all this guess what I had blueberries and kale in my fridge that I needed to get rid of as soon as possible! So I made a smoothie!

Blueberry Kale Smoothie

½ cup greek yogurt
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 banana
½ a small bundle of kale (about 5 leaves, no stems)
2 teaspoons honey
¼ cup water

Place it all in the blender and blend!

So it was really good, the blueberries mask the kale but I think I did add too much kale (My 5 leaves were pretty big) so even though it was chopped up in the blender I still could feel little pieces of leaves on my teeth when I bit down. Next time I will not put so much kale.

Second Blueberry Kale Smoothie

2 cups chopped kale
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup unsweetened Vanilla almond milk
1 tablespoon agave nectar
2 teaspoon peanut butter
1 pinch of sea salt

So I do not have any pictures of this one I just made it and tried it and I did not like it. I could not get over the peanut butter taste and smell with blueberries. But go ahead and try for yourself.
