So got a new recipe for granola, it is a little different from the one I normally make (which has a lot more sugar and I make it into bars)
This new granola mix came from my boyfriend's roommate Lance, he is awesome! I tried it out tonight and it is delicious!! So naturally I had to share!
-8 cups of rolled oats
-1 to 1 1/2 cup flax seed
-1 cup sunflower seeds
-1 cup chopped almonds
-1 cup chopped cashews
-1 cup shredded coconut
-1 1/2 teaspoon salt
-1/2 cup coconut sugar
-1/4 cup maple syrup
-3/4 cup honey
-1 cup coconut oil
-1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
-1 tablespoon vanilla extract
-2 cups dried rasins or cranberries
1) Preheat oven to 300 degrees F
Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.
2) Combine oats, flax seed, sunflower seed, shredded coconut, almonds, and cashews in a very large bowl!
3) Stir together the salt, coconut oil, coconut sugar, maple syrup, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla in a saucepan.
Bring to boil over medium heat, then pour over dry ingredients in large bowl and mix it all together.
Add in dried fruit.
Spread out on baking sheets.
4) Bake 15 minutes, stir, bake 10 minutes. After baking is done do not stir until cooled.
All done I was left with 2 big bas of granola! That tastes so good! Give it a try!
